German translations

I am honored that St. Patrick Zimmerman has chosen to translate some of my blog posts into the German language.  His translation website, now included in my sidebar, includes the following posts so far:

Bei der Liebe Gottes!

Ist die Sühnung ethisch nachvollziehbar?

Wenn Gott die Unschuldigen tötet

Fragen zu Adam

Die Einheit der Kirche suchen

This is now the second language into which my blog posts have been translated; the first being Portuguese.  As Patrick finishes more translations, I will update the list on this post (without making any other announcement).  I’m grateful for his efforts.

About Aron Wall

I am a Lecturer in Theoretical Physics at the University of Cambridge. Before that, I read Great Books at St. John's College (Santa Fe), got my physics Ph.D. from U Maryland, and did my postdocs at UC Santa Barbara, the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton, and Stanford. The views expressed on this blog are my own, and should not be attributed to any of these fine institutions.

Aron, that’s great news in terms of outreach and would you be responding back in Portuguese and German as I’m sure readers in the two languages will write back.
    Just wonderful.

    TY,
If they want to talk to me, it had better be in English, posted on this blog! I’m not an Apostle with the gift of speaking in tongues I never learned…

    Aron, cool news!
Some short note on your link in the Blogroll: “Deutschen Übersetzungen” is grammatically wrong. Use “Deutsche Übersetzungen” instead.

Patrick Zimmerman, in case you’re reading this: Herzlichen Dank für die Übersetzungen. :)

[Fixed—So much for the idea that I might be able to figure out adjective matching in German from 15 minutes of reading articles on the internet. If I’d stopped at 10 minutes I would have gotten it right!]

    Aron,

That is wonderful news but you really shouldn’t be surprised as the work you do here is excellent both in mind and in spirit – a real blessing from many directions. We’re all grateful for you and for your work here, and now another slice of humanity will be blessed as well :-)

Avoid using the symbols > or <, as these could be confused with html tags, unless of course you wanted to make an html tag, in which case some of the basic ones are available, e.g.<i>text</i> for italics, or <a href="url">text</a> for links.
