We used to think it was about individual particles,
\nand that the measuring apparatus was the same as before.
\nThen the War began, and it became personal;
\neach of us needing to roll dice,
\nand consult the railway tables,
\nTo see what new home could become our destination;
\nor whether, if we could stay, home would remain home.
\nSome of us\u2014secretly, but entangled with the rest\u2014
\ndropped the sun on our new-home’s enemies.
\nThese histories decohere,
\nbut you can still see the glimmer in each raindrop,
\nwinking and saying:
\n\u201cYou won’t believe it,
\nnot even if someone tells you,
\nbut life is quantum, not classical.\u201d<\/p>\n
