Luke Barnes, a cosmologist who recently coauthored a book with Geraint Lewis, about the Fine Tuning of the Laws of Nature to permit live.\u00a0 I advertised <a href=\"http:\/\/www.physics.usyd.edu.au\/~luke\/book\/\">their book<\/a> on spec, before I read it, at the end of my own talk on <a title=\"Slides for Fining Tuning talk\" href=\"http:\/\/www.wall.org\/~aron\/blog\/slides-for-fining-tuning-talk\/\">Fine Tuning<\/a>.\u00a0 I knew it was going to be worth reading because of the high quality of commentary on Luke&#8217;s blog, <a href=\"https:\/\/letterstonature.wordpress.com\/\">Letters to Nature<\/a>.\u00a0 Luke is not afraid to critique foolish comments made by people on both sides, and his honesty in presenting the data is impeccable.<\/p>\n<p>Over the holidays I read his book and wrote extensive notes in it (I never write in books!) and I will be posting a review of the book when I get around to it.<\/p>\n<p>If anyone here decides to go, I&#8217;m sure you won&#8217;t regret it.\u00a0 Unfortunately I won&#8217;t be there since I have a prior\u00a0commitment in India.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I was asked by Ratio Christi\u2014a group at Rutgers that I&#8217;ve spoken to a couple times in the past\u2014to advertise the talk above.\u00a0 It will be on Feb 20th at 7pm, at the\u00a0New Brunswick Theological Seminary.\u00a0 See this post on their Facebook page for more details.
