This is just a quick note to say I’ve been travelling a lot recently (to Japan to visit the\u00a0IPMU<\/a> and to Seattle for Christmas) and have also been very busy with job application stuff.<\/p>\n

I’ve accepted an exciting new postdoc at the Institute for Advanced Study<\/a> near Princeton, starting in the fall.\u00a0 Also, this Wed I am scheduled to interview for a faculty position at U Chicago.\u00a0 We’ll see if any of the planes are actually going there on Tuesday.\u00a0\u00a0 “Winter Storm Ion” is apparently going to provide the Windy City with the coldest temperatures in 20 years.\u00a0 I went to the Sports Authority to get some cold-weather gear so I don’t die.<\/p>\n
